Ds2 Manslayer Location

I'm really torn about which one of these to use and thought I'd turn to the forum for a comparison. At 50 Dex, the fully upgraded Blacksteel Katana's AR is 72 points higher than the fully upgraded Manslayer, which is huge and would ordinarily make it my no-brainer choice as a katana lover but: -The Blacksteel seems slower to me.
